About us

The school charter is a guideline for the Tamil School Board and it was jointly developed by the Eelam Tamil Association (ETA) Victoria, ETA Tamil School Board and the Ethnic School Association of Victoria. It stipulates the functions and responsibilities of the School Board and also identifies how the Tamil School will improve the student learning of the Tamil language within the guidelines provided by the Ethnic School Association of Victoria

VTA’s Mission & Vision

The objectives of the VTA Tamil School are to encourage Victorian Tamil children to learn their mother tongue, promote the cultural development..

The school aims to promote Tamil language proficiency, preserve cultural heritage, engage the community, support holistic student development, integrate technology in education, provide professional development for educators, and achieve academic excellence, ensuring students gain a deep appreciation for their heritage and develop essential skills for their future

Facilities and Organizations

Our Tamil school in Australia provides a dynamic learning environment with well-equipped classrooms, a diverse library, and a modern computer lab. We feature a language lab to enhance Tamil language skills, a spacious playground for sports and activities, and clean, well-maintained toilets. The administration office manages day-to-day operations efficiently, while our auditorium hosts cultural and educational events. For student safety and health, we have a first aid room staffed with trained personnel. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff ensures a nurturing and effective educational experience, fostering both academic and cultural growth.
